Sushi while pregnant yes or no?

I am dying for sushi, is it a total no go??

You can eat sushi if it’s cooked. My favorite has always been a California roll, it doesn’t have any raw fish so I’ve eaten that since being pregnant. Also the fried rolls like shrimp tempura are okay to eat.

Supposed to, not really. But my doctor said it’s nothing to be concerned about if it’s reputable.

Raw fish is supposedly a no-no but:
1) you can have sushi with no fish or only cooked fish
2) I have used my judgement and broken the no raw fish rule a few times when we were at a nice restaurant where I knew it would be quality and fresh

No raw or smoked seafood but everything else is fair game as long as you know they practice proper food prep techniques... it may not be what you eat but what touched the prep surface/hands etc, cross contamination is the real issue.

I’ve eaten plenty of raw sushi during my three pregnancies. I’m picky about where I eat it from And I don’t eat it every day but why deprive yourself??
