Any advice for 8th graders going into freshman year?

I’m going to be a freshman next year but I’m kinda nervous because some people say it’s scary then some people say it’s fun so I don’t know what to think anymore. I just want to make sure I know what I’m walking into.

Nothing to be scared about ... I would freak out too when I was in 8th grade. Only thing that sucks is not being able to find ur classes easily but you’ll get use to it in a few days or so

Ok so high school is way better than middle school. 
Freshmen year was my favorite by far. Just remember that freshmen year does count, and you need to try in ur classes. The more good grades you get in classes, the less you have to take (obviously you have to get to the certain amount to graduate, but if you get bad grades then you have to take more classes to make up for the bad ones, if that makes sense) 
Don’t trust upperclassmen guys cuz they just want to take advantage. 
Don’t be annoying in the halls by yelling and running and shit. 
Everyone for the most part is gonna be nice to freshmen (and in general)  and help them out. 
One big tip I have: if ur friends take a class and they shit talk a teacher and tell you to not take that class (even though it’d be best if you did take the class), don’t listen to ur friend and take the damn class 😂😂. My so called “BFF” did this sm and screwed me over. 
Last thing, the group of friends you have now, aren’t gonna be ur friends in HS at all. Maybe one or two but other than that no. HS is where you find yourself and ur group. (That and college) so don’t be surprised when sally starts doing coke and Susan is all of a sudden a stripper😂😂😂 (only being slightly dramatic) anyways sorry this is long and have fun!

As a senior in high school I want to tell you and any other incoming freshman... really enjoy high school, do everything you can, join all the clubs you want, and just enjoy it don’t try to grow up too fast because before you know it you’re a senior wishing you were a freshman again

I’m a freshman also and i was not scared at all, people say you meet new people and make new friends but i still have the same friends as i did in junior high , things may change and be different for you but just keep your head up and open yourself up to new people!

It’s fun I promise, I’m a freshman now.I was worried at first, but almost everyone I have met(including seniors ) have been very helpful and kind.Its a bigger school and that’s sometimes scary,but you get used to it quick.My advice is join an extra curricular you like(mine is show choir) and stay in it, you will meet friends and they will help you feel more welcome.i was one of the 4 freshman to get into our show choir this year and everyone has been welcoming and kind.

I am a freshman, but I am enrolled in online school. I think it is safe to say it is a huge leap from being the leaders of your middle school... to the plankton 😧 haha

You have to find a balance between your social life and school. It’s going to be hard, but it will also be a lot of fun because you have so much more freedom. Don’t get sucked into drugs and alcohol just because your friends are doing it. Also make sure to not turn in to bitch (sorry for being blunt). I know a lot of people who really changed freshman year and not for the better.
