Decision to have babies?

Hi! I’m 36 years old and never wanted to have babies, it was because I was waiting to have an stable life to give a healthy environment to the baby. But my career always had me traveling and moving and, well, never had in my mind to have a baby as a priority until now... I think it’s kind of late/ risky for me to have a baby, right? And if don’t, I’m divorced and I won’t marry just to have a child so I could find professional help... But what would be the life for a baby without a father?

I really hope 36 isnt risky, because It looks like I'm  in the middle of taking that  risk.

I know a lot of people who had children over 36, their kids are great and healthy. Yes there are risks, but if you want a child I’d say go for it. My mom has my sister at 36 and had no problems and she’s great. My parents didn’t have any trouble keeping up with her either like others want to say. I’m 34 and pregnant with my first and my doctors literally have expressed 0 concern about my age.

It would be very hard, and your baby would have to come first before a career. My mom had my sister at 36 years old and she has a lot of health issues because of it. My sister is now 11 and my mom is 47, she can’t keep up with her at all. My sister had cerebral palsy, she’s losing her hearing (60%) and has many other medical issues due to my mom having her late in age (yes it’s because of her age) but it’s different for each person.
It’s a lot to think about.

My mom had me at 40 which caused me to have quite a few birth defects. If you get checked out by a doc then I don’t see a problem but when they grow up, it’s hard being a child to an older parent. Maybe look into adopting?

I’m currently 36 and pregnant with my 2nd. I also put my career first and waited til later in life. I had my first when I was 33.

I know a few people that waited until after 36 to have a baby as a single parent. They established a career, and got their life stable. They had healthy pregnancies, and healthy babies. Their kids do fine without a dad, they have make Role models (one has an uncle that’s heavily involved, a best friend of the mom, and a grandfather). A lot of kids grow up in a single parent home, and turn out just fine. Do what YOU want to do.

My husbands mom didn’t have him until she was 41. He was a 9 pound baby and had to have a c-section because she physically couldn’t birth him. But if you do decide your baby hands down has to come before your traveling career. And as far as a baby without a father, some of the most amazing men I’ve met were raised my a single mother.

My mom has me at 40 and I am perfectly healthy. She actually had an easier pregnancy than I had with my first and I was 26.

Although it’s just my opinion and I too am in the same situation, but I know many woman in their early 30s-45 not have any complications at all. It’s a tough choice. I myself waited for a everything to be perfect. And I had plenty of times to that where perfect to go for it. I’m now living with that, cause it was my choice, and It’s all yours. Good luck♥️
