What is your plan...?

So here is the thing...I've been looking at live birth clips on Instagram. I've noticed most of these women are clean shaved down there. I keep my area natural and i only trim when things get too wild and crazy. My question is should I shave or wax down there before I give birth? What are you gonna do and why? Thanks mama's I'm really wondering if I am missing something haha.

Went natural with my son and I’m doing it again this time. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. We have hair for a reason.

I hit it with an electric razor like once a week when I get in my last 6 wks. It keeps things clean and i don't have to worry about nics like with a close shave razor. My hair grows slow too so I don't have to be strict on how often I trim. 
Plus my vag won't be on any camera, so won't be posted any where for me to be overly worried about ppl seing it lol

It’s totally up to you! I don’t think they recommend shaving or waxing too close to your due date in case you have any nicks or abrasions (can lead to infections) but you do you! I’ve been waxing for a few years so will likely continue until I get too uncomfortable

Oh man the thought of dealing with stitches, bleeding, swelling, etc while also being itchy and getting ingrown hairs from a recent shave or wax just makes me want to cry. I trim a little when things get really bushy but other than that I don’t and certainly did not do any extra grooming for my first baby and won’t this time either. I promise you your doctors and nurses don’t care so definitely don’t do anything on their account.

I kept it shaved the entire time for my first and will do again for this one. It just makes cleaning the afterbirth easier for me. Of course it’s not perfectly smooth but I do the best I can.

I want to be at least mostly shaved. Not for looks but because I hate being a hairy bloody mess. It’s so much worse to clean up imo.

My plan is to go in like I normally keep it... shave around the edges to keep it clean and trim the rest.

Don’t get waxed while pregnant, your skin is a lot more sensitive so it could either make the pain 40x worse or cause more bleeding or something crazy. I can’t even see to shave anymore so my fiancé gladly does it for me and I plan to continue that until I can see again 😂

I don’t care about hair down there, but I shaved because I thought it would be easier if I had a c-section or if my doctor had to give me stitches. I usually keep it natural. Also, for the bleeding afterwards I wanted to start off sort of clean shaven. I hate when I’m constantly wearing pads with a giant bush. Personal preference! Heck, I don’t even know if it helps the doc at all! 🤣
