What do you do when HR, management ignores you?
I made a post yesterday about how to ask HR for an agreement in writing regarding my maternity leave. This morning, I wrote this email and sent it out.
It has been 3+ hours, typically this kind of response time is unusual.
So what do I do when they flat ignore me? HR came to me yesterday and blindsided me, told me the firm is only going to give me 6 weeks. Since I am not covered by FMLA. This was a complete 180 from what we had previously dicussed.
After another meeting, we made an agreement. Verbal that I wanted in writing and they did not follow up on, like they said.
I truly feel like they are trying to use FMLA as a tool to terminate me. It has not been a good fit for either one of us. But being pregnant, I was trapped here and I think they are too.
