Trichomoniasis?

HELP! I just got told I have Trichomoniasis. I also had a bad UTI (2 to be exact) that I was on medication for. Not knowing I wasn’t supposed to, my SO and I had a lot of unprotected sex with the UTI. And now I have this. Can I have Trich from this UTI? We’re both faithful. I’m freaking out.

You shouldn’t have sex while you have a UTI. Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease. You did not get it because of the UTI. You get it by having sex with someone who has it.

Its an STD and they have to test both of you and treat both of you

Have you been to a public hot tub? It’s been known to live on those. Other wise, it can only be sexually transmitted so one of you had to do something. 
It also causes painful urination, so it’s possible you thought you had a uti but it was actually trich. Y’all both need to be treated with antibiotics and stop having sex until you’ve finished them
