7 weeks and ultrasound

So I went to my Dr and he did a non vaginal ultrasound and only saw a sac and what seemed like a shadow. He told me not to worry to just wait it out a couple of more weeks. Im crying my eyes out. Is this normal? Usually with previous kids I would get vaginal and see baby and ♥️ by this time. Please let me know ur experiences.
