Possible miscarriage 😢

I was 5 weeks and 2 days yesterday and had some bleeding after a couple of days of brown discharge. Went to the hospital and had a scan. She couldn’t see any embryo and my endometrium was very thin at 2mm. She said that either the body rejected the embryo (miscarriage) or it’s still too small to detect. Told me to wait 1 or 2 weeks and have another scan. I haven’t had any more bleeding or discharge since the hospital. I’m so confused and overwhelmed by this. Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I keep any hope? It seems very likely to be a miscarriage considering the endometrium size. :(
