When to announce....

Question

With the holidays coming up, it's going to be so difficult for me to hide this pregnancy. I'm currently 5 weeks, but I'm usually drinking mimosas on Christmas morning with my inlaws so they'll know immediately when I don't pour myself some champagne.  We want to tell them on Christmas but I'll only be 6 wks then. Is it too early? I won't even have my first appointment until 9wks... What do you guys think?

I’m telling my family on Christmas Day and I’ll only be 6weeks (ish)!
Personally it just takes the stress away of trying to hide it but it’s only my immediate family I’ll be with which isn’t as bad as telling the WHOLEEEE family!
I’d say just do whatever will be best for you and that you’d be most happy with!

Only 5 weeks here with our first.   But we are going to tell our families on Christmas.   There are so many things right now with both my husband's family and mine that has every one down with Illnesses and cancer treatments. I think some good news is in order.

I’ll be just over 7wks, we are telling family. But immediate family only, our parents and my brother and that’s it. I’ve had miscarriages in the past and I’ve always told my mom immediately upon finding out I’m pregnant. No matter what, our family is our support system so they’d find out regardless of what happens. This is the longest I’ve kept this secret from my mom. Living only a couple blocks from them and seeing them nearly every day, it’s soooo hard not to blurt it out! So I can’t wait to tell them! We’re doing Christmas with my parents this weekend and in-laws on Christmas so it’ll be an exciting few days!

The first person I called was my mother when got my BFP this time around and I was only 3w5d when I told her and as soon as she found out the rest of the family did too because she was so excited 😂❤️ it’s really up to you when you want to tell the family but its never too early to have people rooting for you and your little bun 💗

I will also be questioned if I don’t have a buzz on at Christmas Eve and Christmas. I will be 6weeks and 3 days. I bought this ornament for his parents. His mom has been wanting this so I feel like I should tell them.

If it doesn’t come in time then we will keep it a secret. But if does I guess we might give it to them.

I'm getting a gift for my mom, my dad, and my husband's parents to open for Christmas! We are keeping it from close friends and extended family until after our first ultrasound on Jan 3rd. We will tell the rest of our friends and announce on social media on Valentine's Day! This is just too much too keep from family. I will be 6 weeks 5 days on Christmas.

I will be right at 6 weeks on Christmas and I made this to give to my mother in law. We are telling them and I told my sister and that’s it. My last ended in miscarriage so it makes me a little nervous. My mother in law keeps telling me she has a feeling that I’m pregnant so I’m telling them!

Same! We are going to see my in laws this weekend and they will know something is up if I don’t have a drink with them....my last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 9 weeks, I didn’t tell anyone except my mom and husband, so when I had a miscarriage my mother in law was like I didn’t even know you were pregnant! I’m thinking I’m just going to tell them bc if something was to go wrong again at least they’d be in the know. Hopefully it will be a nice Christmas gift for everyone.
