I’m 40 had a mis in July that makes 3 total I have a 24 year old and a 16 year old and 2 grandsons age 5-2.My hubby has no children he’s 43 were 4 weeks and 4 days I’ve called my doc 2 times the receptionist says the doc doesn’t usually see anyone until 7-8 weeks my Appointment is January 11th.She also said he’s booked but I explained yet again my history and age and nada.I just want my level checked to make sure it’s where it’s supposed to be

This is very normal. Some places wont even see you until 12 weeks after you have made it through the scary stage

It’s seems to be common to wait but even more so because of the holidays right now. 
I also had a loss in July and was very worried, my doctors office recommended going to the ER just to be checked out if it put me at ease. 
So I went and all went well for me.

It’s totally normal. There is absolutely nothing the doctor can do before 6-8 weeks. They won’t be able to see anything, and as harsh as it sounds, if something is going to happen that early there’s nothing they can do to stop it or prevent it really. I don’t know many who will schedule earlier appointments.

Ask your primary. I called mine just to confirm pregnancy and she did a urine and then did blood work.

My dr wontsee me until 7 weeks. And last pregnancy she never even did a blood test.

My OB only starts seeing her patients at 12 weeks. She’s seeing me earlier this time due to a recent miscarriage.

I’m not under the exact same circumstances ... although I’m 20 im about close to 5 weeks ... I went in a couple of days ago to confirm my pregnancy I didn’t need an appointment for this btw ... they set me up for the next day to come back for patient education for pregnancy and I also have a heart condition so I talked to a doctor about that issue ... um setup insurance stuff like that had blood drawn for all types of testing I’m not done though they set my actual first appointment for baby January 31 I believe? And I’ll be at 10 weeks ... so idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have the same question.... I felt like I didn’t get much out of that visit for myself since this will be my first time ever 🙄

I find it a bit odd that they won’t order blood tests. Are you opposed to calling another doctor to request it? My doctor had no problem checking my levels but the earliest she would actually see me is 7.5 weeks. Best of luck to you ♥️

Here in my small northern Canadian town I don’t get to see any medical staff till 12 weeks! 🤦🏼‍♀️ it’s terrible but with a shortage of doctors we are SOL!
