I wish my husband would say no..
I just need to vent. My husband works for a construction company and has for 3 years now. He is such a good worker and works 58 hour work weeks (M-F 10 hours) and Saturdays. He is our only income since I'm a STAHM to our 2 year old son and 32 weeks pregnant and a full time nursing student.
Lately his boss has been throwing in his face that he needs to work more hours if he wants to get promoted and he has worked 12 hours each day this week. My husband deserves to be promoted because he is so loyal and reliable and a hard worker. They know that. All the other workers call in sick constantly or make excuses and leave early and my husband never does. He is so dedicated to his job. He is also the only one remotely qualified for the new position. No one else is trained like he is.
I'm so frustrated and sitting here upset because his boss has him convinced he is not good enough unless he bends over backwards and does everything he says. He is currently the only one working 12 hours while everyone else gets to work 8 or 10 hours. I'm so exhausted and with my 2 year old and my 2 year old cries for his Dad in the evenings because he misses his Dad and has seen him barely (maybe 3 hours?) this entire week. Do I have a right to be upset or am I just being a hormonal bitch? I honestly feel like a single mom at this point. 😭
