Those that don’t co-sleep or who are transitioning to crib/pac n play, Do you let your baby cry it out for bed?

I let her cry for a bit, then I pick her up. I’ve never let my baby cry until she’s fallen asleep, my mom told me that’s what she did with us once we were around 3-4 months old. My LO doesn’t just cry, she screams if I don’t come to her rescue, I just don’t have it in me to leave her to cry.

Does it even work, does a baby eventually fall asleep? (understanding that he/she is a healthy baby & has a full tummy, only just a tired baby)
