Coming off the mini pill

I am currently on the mini pill (progesterone only) and just finished a pack, I’ve been on the pill since I was 15 (6 years now) and have always been curious if my periods would be as bad coming off it now. I’m going to Australia for 7 months and so won’t be in need of it for contraception as I have a boyfriend at home.

Does anyone have experience coming off this pill or the pill in general? Did you get a period as soon as you came off it? Did you notice a difference in your mood/hormones?
