So I’m getting the IUD put in in January and I’m so nervous.

I want an IUD so bad because the pill gives me AWFUL side effects and I’ve tried different ones for about 2 years and it seems like each one is worse than the last. Basically, I was told that the IUD is my last option of having a better period and hopefully less side effects.

I just want to know what to expect! My gynecologist has an IUD but her’s is the Mirena so she can’t give me her own personal opinion of Skyla or anything like that, only the stats.

I’d really like to know people’s opinion of Skyla and a comparison of how your periods are: before and after.

Also, is sex different with an IUD? I’m scared it will be different and not be as good for me or my boyfriend.

I really want to hear all the stories. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Please!!
