IUD Wearing Off?

Question

Has anyone experienced symptoms a few months before getting their IUD replaced? I’m getting my Skyla replaced at the end of January and the last few months have been interesting. I’ve had more of a period than usual, so much hormonal acne and some weight gain. My breasts have even gotten a bit bigger 😫 Anyone else with a similar experience?

I’m having those same issues currently, but I still have a whole year left with my Skyla. About 6 months ago I went from having NO period to having the most regular periods I’ve ever had. I can predict it down to the day based on my cramps and food cravings. On top of that my already DD boobs have started growing again and my struggles with anxiety have gotten worse too over nothing.  I’ve been paranoid about pregnancy, but tests come back negative. I’ve wondered if I’m the only one experiencing these things and if my IUD is the cause. I’m comforted to know I’m
not alone! I’ll be asking my doctor about these symptoms next month at my yearly appointment.
