Sckooncup is way firmer than expected...

So I got a Sckoon cup as I noticed that every time I had problems with my MeLuna people would blame the firmness. Sckoon is really known to be super soft and flexible but when I opened it it seemed like the opposite?

First off the rim is way thicker than any other cups I have, and out of all my cups this one is the most difficult to squish, let alone fold. I have to pinch down all the way at the rim in order to get the seal to break.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? It’s really unexpected.
