Did having a abortion effect me being able to have kids 🤔

So I had a abortion when I was 15/16 and I currently want a child I have been trying ever since my abortion and I haven’t had any luck my boyfriend is a lot older than me and I’m not sure if it’s him or me ... I’m pretty sure it’s me considering he already has a child with his ex wife ... should I go to a doctor? Or am I over reacting

An abortion performed by a doctor without complications does not affect future fertility.  It can take more than a year for even the healthiest of couples to conceive. If you don’t track your cycles with basal body temps or OPKs, you might just be missing your ovulation day. But if you have concerns, it won’t hurt to mention it to your doctor.
