So we live in a small apartment with my father in law. Me and him normally have issues about the way the house should run. For the most part we got things worked out. However He recently decided he wanted curtians back in the kitchen windows. I didnt but agreed. I did ask he get tension rods so they can sit inside the window frame and not impead my counters and stuff on them. He bought regular rods that stick out because he wanted to see how it would impeade my stuff. Well it made it so my stuff had to sit 6 inches out from the back of the counters. I explained it to him and asked for tension rods. Anyway I left for Christmas and came back to the curtains on the rods and all of my counters (they have wheels) pulled 8inchs away from the wall. I pushed everything back to where it goes only to come home and find he has pulled it all back out because he didnt like the way the curtians looked with my counters agenst them. Then proceeded to tell me he lives here to and I dont get to tell him what to do. I get that. that's why I agreed to have curtians I didnt want. I explained to him that it's my stuff. His time in the kitchen is to microwave food and get coffee. He doesn't even eat what I cook because we eat Turkey and pork which he doesn't like. Everything in the kitchen is mine. I bought it or had it given to me by family. Even the coffee pot he uses is mine. The kitchen is set up so its effecnt for me to cook because I spend hours in the kitchen a day and more on the weekend. He then tells me it's not my stuff it's our stuff because he lives here to. Except no its not. When we move EVERYTHING in the kitchen will come with me with the exception of the stove and fridge. I will probably leave the coffee maker because I want a new one. I'm just tired of him thinking he can rearrange my stuff because he doesn't like it. I compromised with the curtians. It's not to much to ask they dont mess with my kitchen. Thoughts are welcomed.
