should i be worried about the heartbeat?

I had my first vaginal ultrasound when i was between 5 and 6 weeks when i went to the doctor to verify my pregnancy. my doctor said the baby was in there and gave us pictures although we really couldn’t see much 😅. i didn’t hear a heartbeat then but she wanted me to come back in two weeks for another. That’s on wednesday and i’ll be about 8 and a half weeks. is it normal to not hear a heartbeat then? should i be able to hear one on Wednesday?

Last pregnancy I was 7+4 and before my dr did the US she told me “we may not see anything and we may not hear a heartbeat. This is totally normal so I don’t want you to freak out” luckily we were able to see and hear.

I went at 6 weeks and saw and heard nothing. 
I just went again at 7weeks and 5 days and saw a baby and heart beat :)

Totally normal! A lot of docs dont see people a little later on to avoid "freaking g out" ☺

Completely normal not to hear baby’s heartbeat that early - that’s why they really don’t like to see you until 8 weeks.
