How my water broke at 29 wks

It all started as a normal day. My cousin just had her son on the 28th and we were going to visit them for the first time. I get out of the car, walk across the streat and then suddenly fluid beging running out of me. I immediately think, crap I just peed on myself but then I realized I could not stop it. It just kept running. So we beline for the bathroom. I go and sit on toilet and I peed normally. I wipe and get up. I see yellow mucus in the toilet and have a second thought that it is my mucus plug. My thoughts are interupted by more gushing fluid that is happening involuntary. Again I wait for it to stop and decide that I will call doctor one I get to my cousins room. I finally get checked in as a visitor and into her room to call. Its Saturday so that nurse on call will call me back. Cool. I walk over to one end of the room awaiting baby to be wheeled into the room. Fluid begins to pour out of me like a faucet. So many confused looks then one realization in unison. My water just broke. And not just leaked but BROKE. Nurses rush to me. And i am immediately admitted. Doctor checked my rupture and all of the amniotic fluid is gone. I must stay in the hospital on bedrest. But good news. Baby is already 29wks5days. He is above weight at 3.22 Ibs and not in active labor. Even if i have baby today or in a week, he is in the best neonatal hospital in the state. They are prepared. And they are focused.
