Not sure if I should post pregnancy on Facebook?

Question

So I haven’t conceived yet but we’ve been ttc for 4 months, and I’m in the tww right now, so I’m overthinking a lot. When I do get pregnant, I’m not sure if I should post the pregnancy on Facebook or not. My s/o has a crazy stalker ex girlfriend, he even had to get a restraining order on her. He deleted his Facebook because of her, but I still have mine. I’m not friends with anyone associated with her, but she’s created at least 10 different Facebook profiles to try to get info on me, so I continuously block them. I have everything private on my profile as well, but I’m still worried that she’ll find out about it if I post something. On the other hand, if I don’t post it then a lot of people won’t know about the pregnancy. Then I’ll have to do a fuck ton of explaining (about stuff that’s none of their business) for several different people. And if I do that then I’m sure there will be people that post about it or tag me in pictures, etc. Then if I don’t post, how many years am I going to have to keep it up? I’ll probably be judged by people for never talking about my kid on there, right? I don’t know what to do

Oh god haha I hate fb both me and my husband deleted fb when I was pregnant and we haven't gone back to it either was toxic in out relationship! 
At the end of the day it's your business no one else's, and if they have a problem with it then they really need to get a life (no offence) but this is yours and your partners time and people shouldn't have a problem if you don't want to disclose it all over fb! People should be understanding why you don't wanna post it all over fb than give you a hard time about it! It's your choice but at the end of the day it's your business! 
I didn't put anything on fb about being peg I distance myself from it because it's time for me and my partner not anyone else

I can relate in a sense. I don’t ever post a pregnancy announcement on Facebook. I’m on number four. The last two we have put the gender reveal up but that’s it. You can easily not post it and just tell people you guys decided it wasn’t something the two of you were interested in. Leave it at that. No need to explain yourself to others. She’s gonna find out sometime that you have a baby because well, she’s crazy. So once your baby is born just post as you feel comfortable. You can’t live in her lurking shadow. Act like she doesn’t exist.

Eh 🤷🏻‍♀️ we aren’t posting pictures of our child on Facebook ever anyway, but that’s Pictures.  And for no reason other than unless I know you well enough for you to see my ccild in person, you don’t need to see my child. Just don’t. Social media causes so many issues anyway

I love fb and it hasn’t caused any issues in my husband and i’s relationship at all because it’s just social media and that’s that we focus on the real world. I posted my pregnancy at 5 weeks. And i have posted my pictures of my ultrasound. As long as everything is private so you can’t see it if your not a friend you should be fine. Just don’t put anything in your profile picture or your cover photo.. because she can see those if she’s not your friend. Maybe you should get a restraining order too then when she does it again she gets in trouble.

I would post it. She is bound to find out sooner or later if she is that hell bent on getting info on you and/or him. Dont hide your excitement over a psychopath. If she continues to be an issue for you and it becomes more than digging for info, you can get a restraining on her as well. But if I had to guess, she will probably back off once she hears of a pregnancy.
