How far along am I, actually?

I got an early ultrasound done. Doing the calculations I’m 5 weeks 4 days, but the ultrasound says the baby is measuring 6 weeks and 3 days. So which one do I follow?

Go by the US in my opinion. It is a better predictor of when baby is coming. My doctor changed my due date after our first US because there a was a week difference. Your doctor may not change it if they feel the dates are close enough but there is still lots of time for your baby to be more ahead or behind expected. Like I was a week earlier than thought, but now my baby consistently measures a few days ahead

Go by the US. They know more by measuring and looking at it then we do just by dates. That’s exciting being farther along then you thought!

the app for me said I was around 7 weeks +3 maybe and my first US said I was maybe 6+4 but they kept my date the same since it was so close. now I'm 36+1 and ever since that first US everything's been measuring up to date

Go with the ultrasound. It is most accurate before 12w. So if it says you are 6w you are five or take a day or two.

Ultrasound is most accurate during early pregnancy. Go by that -- but also ask your Dr about it too. They'll probably change your due date if needed.
