Can someone explain milk storage bags?

Do you need to buy different brand bags for the different brand bottles? 
What’s the difference really in a normal storage bag?
Pros/cons?

I had a medela pump, so bought the Medea bags and I didn’t like them at all! I switched to a cheaper brand and liked them so much more! You’ll need to use the bottles that come with you pump and then just pour your milk into the bags. Try to get the air out and then lay them flat in the freezer. If you can get them to lay flat instead of upright when frozen they are easier to fit in your freezer.

No, bags are universal. And theyre thicker than regular bags, freezer safe, and are measured so you can measure out milk.

Some bags are compatible with certain pumps, allowing you to pump directly in the bag. But you can also usually buy an adapter to do that. 
But other than that it is just preference. I have been happy with the Lansinoh bags.

I had a horrible time with the lansinoh brand. Every time I would take it out of the freezer and run under warm water to defrost they would leak like crazy from the bottom and I'd wind up with an empty bag in the end. It could totally be from the milk being stored in a deep freezer vs a regular freezer, but that's just my story ;)
