It it time to be sober?

It’s a new year and I’m wondering if it’s time to go totally straight edge. I don’t feel that I have a problem with binge drinking, but I definitely use alcohol to cope at times. When it’s a tough day, I’ll have a drink, when I’m angry, a drink will take the edge off, when I’m sad, I drown my sorrows in a glass of wine. And if I don’t have a drink one day I find the day is “boring” or missing something. I don’t need it, but I would prefer it.

So with that, I’m feeling like it would be something that should be cut out. If not for the reasons I’ve listed above, but for my health, weight loss, even saving money.

Is there anyone here that is sober that LOVES it? Are there any benefits that those who do drink might be missing out on? Thanks in advance ladies.
