Would you be upset?

I worked last night and couldn’t see my boyfriend for the New Year. He went out to party and stayed up until 4am. Today, he said he wants to see me, but he’s too tired because he always works tomorrow. I’m a little upset because I work 3pm-3am and I’m still tired, but would want to see him the first day of the new year. Is being upset wrong for wanting to spend the first day of the year together. Would you be upset?

What are you going to accomplish by getting upset? It's just another day and if you guys are both tired, just let it be. It's not like he went and did something to purposely hurt you. He just went and did what tons and tons of people were doing last night and had fun and wants to chill out now and recover.

I’m a little in-between about it, like upset but more of an annoyed upset, not a serious frustration

It’s just a different day. It doesn’t really matter. The last two years I didn’t get to be with my SO on New Years. This year I did and we still didn’t have a good time. So really it doesn’t matter. Its just another day, people are hungover and tired, just relax before work and maybe you guys can see each other in a few days.
