Contractions and labor. When is it time?

Hey, 37 almost 38 weeks here! How do I know when my contractions are considered consistent? I've been having contractions since 30 weeks and lately during NST they're definitely there and the doctors have made a note of it but I'm just wondering when are they should be concerned contractions? Thank you, sincerely one nervous new mommy!

When they hurt. Bad. And they start coming every couple of minutes without stopping.

My hospital had the 5-1-1 rule. Wait until contractions are five minutes apart, lasting for about a minute, and they’ve been doing so for an hour.

yiu know for sure by timing them. when theyre 5 mins apart, you go into l&d. (thats what my doctor told me)

I’ve read and heard from my OB that contractions are considered consistent when they’re between 5-7 minutes

I think I went in the hospital when mine were every 2 minutes for 1 minute about. I ended up being 6 cm when I went in.
