Time for a change...but BF doesn’t think so😬

So about 4 months back I wanted my hair dyed burgundy and brown. But it turned out with hot pink highlights and brown... I’ve wanted to change it ever since because it’s completely hideous, but my boyfriend wants me to keep it the way it is bc he likes it, and that’s what I’ve done up until now, bc I think it’s a definite time for a change. Because now my hair is brown with red highlights and blonde highlights, due to my hair being bleached a year ago. So now, this is what I’m wanting to do with my hair:

Fringe bangs.... yeah, a risk I’m still not sure about, but I like it. And I want to dye my hair back to its natural brown with some dark caramel undertones.

PLEASE GIVE ME OPINIONS!!! Should I just listen to my bf and leave it or try something very new and different? He’s told me he won’t leave me if I cut it, but i worry I’ll make him unhappy. Help!😩
