So my mom has a big birthday coming up and I wanted to plan a family get together for her. I invited my close cousin and her family as we had been talking and I realized this was a milestone birthday for my mom. My mom found out and is angry because she's not close to this cousin anymore (she has a grudge against her, though she denies it and says she would never). To top it all off, she asks me what I was planning to make. Being that my husband and I don't have any extra money to spare, we thought we'd make a few pizzas (we have a vegan person who would be coming and this would be easy to make vegan). My mom actually says "pizza? Really? That's what you're making me? That's food for a teenager's party." I am so done with her and no longer want to throw her a birthday dinner. She preaches that forgiveness is everything and be like Jesus but then turns around and refuses to attend something because a person she doesn't like will be there. She then says that we should take her out to dinner and my sister and aunt can help pay. I feel like she is being so rude and ungrateful. Just needed to rant because I'm so frustrated
