Is my baby going to be okay?

I do smoke cigs but was smoking at the beginning of my pregnancy and didn’t realize I was pregnant until 2 weeks later! After I realized it, I did stop! Will this hurt my baby? I’m worried about her/him! 😔

Now that you know, stop immediately. There can be some complications from cigarette smoke early in pregnancy, like smaller babies or SUA. I was a smoker pre pregnancy but HG made me stop, so I understand where you're at.

It should be fine. Many women smoke before they realize they’re pregnant! As long as you’ve quit or are working on quitting (whatever is doctor advised), your baby will be ok

Its honestly what the doctor recommends ive been smoking for 18 years always been a pack or more a day. My son they didnt want me to quit but cut back alot which i did because quitting cold Turkey would put stress on my body because of how long. This time around my doctor said the same thing. I am quitting but doing it slowly considering i miscarried with twins when i quit cold turkey the last time

I am not proud of this, but I smoked my entire first pregnancy.  I cut back to 1-2  a day though. My OB encouraged quitting but also not to over stress. I had no complications. Always better to quit but dont panic about 2 weeks early on!

I smoke as well my ob told me not to quit cold turkey because of the stress it puts on the baby. Yes smoking is terrible for you in general but any medical professional knows just how much stress it causes a body, cutting back is the best thing to do my ob said if I can cut back to three a day from a full pack that would be better for me and the baby. I was down to two yesterday so fingers crossed I can get through the day with no temptation. I found that strong mints helped with my cravings being as I smoke menthols you just have to find what helps trick your body basically. Good luck momma I know it’s hard I’ve been smoking for 10 years I started at 13 being dumb but could never kick the habit but this baby has been my motivator.
