Why do i have two induction dates?

In my last post I explained how I know nothing about my c-section because basically all OB said was simply I was having it. I looked at my stuff online and I see she set it for the day after my due date AND the day after that ... Is that normal?

I would call for clarification. We only give one induction date and tell you to come two hours early.

You will be admitted to the hospital on the 6th. They will get you checked in and all set up and start the induction process, and finish the process on the 7th. Mine is the same way. I go in at 8pm on the 15th and induction on thr 16th!

So here's my theory as I've been induced 3x. If you're dilated and effaced, they usually induce you in the morning with pitocin. If you're not dilated and effaced, they have you go at night and do cervidil overnight to ripen your cervix first. It lowers the chances of ending up in a c section, and for some women it can trigger labor without pitocin. So maybe she scheduled both and will make a final decision the day before based on your progress.
