Luckily my doctor was proactive and ordered testing after I had 2 early losses and found out I have Factor V Leiden mutation which can cause blood clotting issues and result in miscarriage. I heard of a friend of a friend today who had her 2nd miscarriage at 20 weeks and was just now tested and discovered she has MTHFR mutation which is another blood clotting disorder. If she had known this maybe she could have prevented the 1st loss. After the 1st loss so far along the doctor should have 100 percent tested her for this issue and saved her 2nd baby! My heart breaks for her! Shots of blood thinner can prevent the loss! Be your own advocate ladies!!!
