How much milk and water for a one year old?

How many oz do you give your one year old of milk and of water in a 24 hour period? My LO has been sick with the stomach flu for a few days and his pediatrician said when he gets over it I could start homo milk since he is only a few days away from his 1st birthday and hasn't been taking much formula anyway since having the flu. I forgot to ask him how much milk my LO should be taking. 🤦 Flu brain. Thanks!

We were told to offer milk with meals, and then have water available in between meals.

Aap reccomends no more than 24oz a day due to it causing anemia. It can also fill your child up and not allow for other food. My son has two glasses of milk a day and water in between.

When we switched to milk I just started giving him milk with breakfast and milk before bed. Water throughout the rest of the day. And sometimes he’ll have milk for lunch if he really wants it but that’s just because he loves milk and sometimes asks for more so I let him.

Our toddler typically has 24 ounces of whole milk (8oz sippy cup of it at each meal) and then water all day, in between meals. Maybe another 24 ounces of water, but it varies.
