Baby shower

I’ve never ever planned a party a day in my life. But I want to have a baby shower in March. Is it more appropriate to send out invites via mail or just to make an event on Facebook. My mom said I should do mail invites, but ya girl is strapped for cash. And I really don’t want to text everyone to ask for their address when I feel like it would easier and quicker to do Facebook invites. Which way has worked best for you guys?
