Is he right?

Basically, I told him I’d be gone all day and he worked a graveyard shift the night before so he slept all day. He texted me at 6pm asking where I was, so I told him and he said okay he’s going back to bed. When I got home, the shower was wet and his razor was out with shaving cream. For some reason, my mind went to the gutter. Why did he question where I was, tell me he has went back to bed, but obviously some shaving and showering happened.. and for what? To just go back to bed? Bc when I came home he was sleeping. So he went to work that night and I texted him and asked if there is any reason I should suspect him not being faithful. He told me no, then I basically asked if he’s okay/has any problems with me and this was his response. Is he right? Or can females ask for reassurance?.. this makes me very angry to say the least lol
