Long distance relationships?

I’ve been with my boyfriend for a year and a half known him four years and he is going out of state to go get schooling , do i leave it or?

I mean you have to do what's best for you. I've been in an LDR for close to 3 years and we are just fine. You only get out of it what you put in, if you BOTH don't try then it's gonna crash and burn just like any other relationship.

I come from the other side of things. My husband and I started dating when I was in high school and he was in college. We were long distance for 4 years. First 3 hours away from each other, then when he went to grad school, 6 hours. Our relationship is a tad different. We had been friends for a long time before we dated. Anyways, after 4 years I took the leap and moved to where he was completing grad school. I transferred schools and we each had our separate apartments. I was there for 6 months before he proposed :). 8 years later, a 2 year old, and two very big moves across the country and we are still going strong. Relationships are hard work either way. And I'm not saying my husband and I didn't have obstacles, but if you want it to work, you'll make it work. I knew from the beginning he was who I wanted. We made good on that ❤️.

It depends. How has your relationship been thus far? Are you both willing to make time for each other via FaceTime or calls or making trips to see one another? I was in a long distance relationship for over a year and it was hard, but because we always put  in the effort and made time for each other. We did phone calls every night before bed. He lived 13 hours away and on long weekends we both took turns making the trip to see each other. Now we are happily married :) I never thought I could do long distance as my love langue is physical touch. I honestly need like 10 hugs and kisses a day, but I knew my relationship was worth the distance and waiting.

Men have really bad needs. Women too. It would be hard for me to be in a long distance relationship. Some people make it work. But it's a no for me.
