Leaking water ?

How do you know if your water is leaking without going and getting it checked ? 
My undies have been wet 2 days now. Waiting to see what happened today
Called my on yesterday and they said I could go get checked but the only thing open was the ER so I decided not to go

My midwife told me to wear a pantry liner so that I could see the color of the fluid or discharge and that if I was leaking fluid, I’d notice the need to change the liner more frequently and may have a sweet smell. Also, if you’re worried I’d go in just in case. They can check the fluid on the liner to see if its amniotic fluid.

You can get litmus paper at most hardware stores and check the ph of what you’re leaking. Amniotic fluid is basic so it would turn the paper blue it green vs pee/normal discharge which is slightly acidic and turns the paper red or orange.

I was leaking for 2 days with my second pregnancy and decided to go to the A&E and ended up keeping me in. My amniotic fluid around the baby had decreased and they had to induce me. Any liquid leaking that you think is not urine go straight to A&E just to be on the safe side. Hope everything is ok.
