Can you get induced without anything being wrong?

I’m 39 weeks as of tomorrow and I’m just so ready to have my baby. I’m in so much pain and can’t wait another week

With my second baby they let me choose to be induced at 39 weeks and I had no medical reason. It was the worst labor I ever experienced! My natural labor was so much easier at 40w 1 day. but the contractions when I was induced had no gradual rise / then peak/ then fall, and almost no time in between. They were full force and hard hitting with virtually no break in between I couldn’t even catch my breath or walk the halls like I had intended. Went all the way to 9cm without pain meds and even after all of that pain I ended up having to have an emergency csection. And now I have to have another csection. So I personally would not recommend being induced unless you go late or have a reason to. But that’s just my opinion. I know some people who have had no problems, but if I could have gone back I would have opted out.

Most doctors wont induce unless your overdue or have a medical reason but you can always ask

I’m currently being induced. I’m 39wk 5days and my doctor does elective induction. She said that I would go over anyways because I was not dilating at all and baby girl never dropped. I’ve gotten really bad carpel tunnel so it worked for us. 🤞🏻 Cross your fingers she will be here by dinner tomorrow!

Depends on your doctor. Mine will. It’s not set up yet but my doctor and I discussed being induced on the 22nd. While she was on vacation I had to have a different doctor and he tried convincing me to wait. But it just depends. Mine won’t induce until 39 weeks unless there is a medical reason to induce before

Mine will if your cervix is favorable. But it depends on your doctor tbh!

Most doctors won’t induce until you’re overdue. Some will do 39+1 but it’s rare. Many doctors won’t before 42 weeks. You can always ask though

My dr says it’s my choice he just warns that if you haven’t naturally progressed it can take up to two whole days in labor! 
He said we’ll talk about induction at my next appointment (39 weeks) and I’m honestly going to ask if it can be my due date since my mom is only here till the 19th and my husband has a new job to get too 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know those aren’t great reasons, but it’s that or be alone and my mom wasting nearly 1,000 dollars to travel here and stay in a hotel
