How common is implantation? Did you experience it when trying to conceive?

I was trying to conceive with my boyfriend. My period was 3 days late but now I'm noticing some light bleeding. Is that implantation or my period? How many others experienced this?

I didn't get any and i have 2 babies. I did get pregnancy spotting with my first baby but that was after a miscarriage

Implantation bleeding isn’t a very common occurrence. Also, if you are in fact 3 days late and are noticing spotting, it could very well just be a late AF, as implantation typically takes place a few days prior to your next expected period, not afterwards. There are far more common causes of spotting out there, one of the most common being hormonal. If the consistency or amount of the bleeding doesn’t resemble your period within the next couple of days, you can always take a test! Good luck!

When I conceived I didn’t get any implantation bleeding at all. Every woman is different !
