Need to vent a little (well, a lot)...

So my boyfriend and I have been together 10 months and haven't met yet, and we've been talking about him visiting in May for a little while. He was talking to his parents today (he's 20 but his parents want to come here with him the first time he comes because we met online so there's always worry there), and they've known that we've been tentatively talking about him coming here in May or at least at some point in the summer since he told them we were together. All of a sudden, though, his parents starting saying that they were starting to consider going to Morocco in May. When he asked if that meant they weren't coming here so that he and I could finally meet, his mom said "no we're not going" but told my bf not to tell me. His dad apparently immediately said "well don't say that, we could go both places", but my bf isn't sure that it will work out financially for his parents, although he will be paying for himself.

Obviously the fact that they may not come here is pretty important so he told me and I just broke down. Today's my birthday so that makes it even better🙃. We talked about it a lot, and I may not financially be able to go there this summer, and if I can't, we likely will not be able to see each other until next summer due to his parents wanting to come. It is frustrating, and we had to talk about what that meant for our relationship as over one year together is a very long time to not have meet each other, let alone two years. It has now been a very emotional birthday, but we know we're going to try to stay together no matter what.

Hopefully tomorrow we'll have more of an idea of the actual possibility that he's coming here this summer, but we'll see.
