i’m trying to wait till birth. i’m 17 weeks today and done really well so far only close family knows and a few friends. social media has no idea! after i was like 13 weeks it got really easy lol and now i’m almost halfway- i can do this!

We announced to my family at 4 weeks and my youngest sister told all her friends immediately before she heard us say to wait. So I told my boss and coworkers at 5 weeks because this is a small town and I know the parents of several of the kids in my sisters class. Basically I told people and let it spread, and then at 14 weeks I announced it on Facebook because I wanted it to be part of our “Christmas card.”

Unfortunately we told people as soon as we found out. My husband is from NY and we live in CA, and being in the military he never gets to see his family. The day after I took the test we were leaving for NY and he was too impatient and told everyone as soon as we got to his parents house. I really wanted to wait until the second trimester to make sure everything was solid.
