Making fire starters!

HN

Super easy, fairly cheap DIY to make a ton of fire starters that will potentially burn for upwards of 15 minutes. My husband asked me a question a few weeks ago that made me think how unprepared I would be in the case of emergency without him here. He works on the slope so is gone half of the year.

Stocking up on fire starters this week, using lint from the dryer, egg cartons, and wax (calls for beeswax). Courtesy of pinterest. 😘

1) Stuff the egg cartons with lint

2) Melt and pour wax over the lint. A decent amount, but don’t overdo it!

3) Cut egg carton into squares, tuck in corner flaps, and tie with twine! You don’t have to tie with twine, just makes storing them easier in my opinion.

These are fun to make! They take a little time, but so easy to put together.

Have fun!
