Twin feeding tips please?!

So I am writing this post, in regards to my new twin boys. The problem that I seem to be having, not only do I have to handle the boys by myself while my husband is at work, but when it comes to feeding I try my best to do one then the other. After that I noticed the first one that I fed seems to get really fussy and irritated that I do not have an extra hand to hold him. I would love to know any twin moms experience and or tips when it comes to feeding them in tandem. Due to postpartum depression I am unfortunately not breast-feeding and only bottlefeeding. Any suggestions or info would be fantastic and well welcome. Thanks.

I bottle prop under supervision. Bouncers, rockers, or boppies are good for holding the baby then I roll up a burp cloth and prop the bottle and watch them. If they are hungry at the same time it will be much more beneficial for you to feed them at the same time to save you some energy. I also make my formula in batches for the day and fill up every bottle I have and cap them and store in the fridge so I just have to grab and go when they are hungry. Saves so much time and frustration when trying to feed 2 hungry screaming babies on demand.

I pump and bottle feed, so only bottles here. They are 5 months old now and I still feed them each on a boppy beside me (one on each side). I find it much easier to feed both at once, feeding one at a time it seems that’s all I did all day and had no time to just interact with them especially when they ate every 1-2 hours. Have you tried feeding both at once? If you don’t want to do that, then I’d suggest putting one in something like a bouncer right next to you while you feed the other. Or just feed on the floor and have The other on the playmat or blanket and you can smile and interact with them both.

I too was mostly alone and feedings were tough. I bought 2 bottle props from amazon  and fed them in their swings (not in motion) and always supervised. The bottle prop that is used also helped them learn to hold their bottles. About a month after using them the twins stopped “propping” them and actually learned to hold the stand and manipulate the bottle on their own.

I used to just feed them on demand. Sometimes with one hand. Always formula fed.

When mine were little i would place one in my lap and one in a boppy pillow right next to me to bottle fed them. I would stop them at the same time, than burp one after the other.
