Ultrasound limit?

I see other mommies getting ultrasounds and growth checks my doctor hasn’t done any of that she told me only give me a ultrasound if something is wrong and doesn’t really go into details at my appointments , I’m starting to get worried 😧 I want to know his weight ? Am I measuring on time ? I want a ultrasound to check on him and make sure everything is in place I don’t want to be rude but next appointment I have some questions . Am I asking for too much ? She gonna say it’s my anxiety but no my appointments are quick and I’m getting annoyed by it . 🧐

I paid to get one done because our tech was a bitch during our anatomy scan, and didn't show us anything or point anything out.. and the printing machine was down so we only got two crappy pictures that we got to take on our phone. 
But, coming from a STM who understands what my first was like - relax. 😊
I don't mean that in a condescending way, but I have been amazed at the difference in myself from being a first time to a second time mom. 
If your appointments are quick, be grateful. That means all is well. If you don't need another ultrasound, that's awesome! I did have another medical one at 34 weeks with my dd1 due to her measuring 3 weeks ahead by fundal height. They estimated her at 6lbs, meaning a 9ish pound baby. She weighed 7lbs11oz at birth. The ultrasounds aren't accurate so the scan really won't make a difference in estimating her size. It's a ballpark guess that doesn't mean much at all. 
Don't let yourself get too overwhelmed about thinking things are too easy, that's a good thing.

In a healthy pregnancy you only have 2, a dating scan and an anatomy scan because that is what insurance covers. Most insurances will NOT cover any more bmunless medically necessary, so youd pay $300+ for the US. You're better off going to a 3d/4d private scan for cheaper. Its totally okay to wanna see your baby, but I would be thankful too that nothing was wrong. Ive had a ridiculous amount of USs because of issues, and honestly after awhile its a pain because you just want baby to be safe and healthy no matter how much I love seeing her on screen. As for appointments, I always always always go in with a list of question or concerns WRITTEN down, so I cant forget or be dismissed by anyone. I read each one off, and jot down a quick note based on her answer. If you feel like you arent being heard, definitely say something and come prepared to have a little argument if needed. You're sticking up for yourself and your peanut.

I haven’t had an ultrasound since my anatomy can around 20weeks..ob told me they’ll only do another one if they suspect anything is wrong or if I would’ve had gestational diabetes. It really sucks because I’m desperately just want to see her in screen again and make sure she looks ok. All they donat my prenatal visits is my weight, BP, Urine, listen to her heartbeat and measure my belly. I’ve been told the only other way I’ll get an ultrasound is if I go to a separate clinic and pay out of pocket.

I am due 3/26 and my doctor did a dating scan, anatomy scan, and I have a growth scan scheduled for 32 weeks. I don’t know what week you are in but I think you should bring it up at your next appointment. It is my hospitals policy to do one between 28 and 32 weeks so it’s possible that you’re seeing a bunch of early March moms and the later ones haven’t gotten it yet. 
You can’t listen to people on this app about insurance unless they know what plan you have. My insurance Humana did not cover the anatomy scan, but my new insurance United covers all pregnancy related appointments as far as I can tell. You will need to see what your plan covers

Theres no reason for more ultrasounds unless baby has a problem or you has GD. They can palpate later on to see if baby is breech, you don’t need an ultrasound for it, and baby does not need to be head down until 36 weeks. And the ultrasounds are not accurate for weight anyways. If baby is kicking normal, baby is fine.

Trust me not getting another ultrasound is way nicer than having to get them. From 29 weeks I have to get an ultrasound every week to check on fluid levels and babies size because of having GD. Not only do I have to pay for these I have to try to find time every week to make a new appointment that takes about an hour that I drag my 2 year old who doesn’t want to be there with. Only getting 2 means you have a normal pregnancy. I get wanting to see them but trust me you will have them in your arms soon enough   Enjoy not living at the doctors office

Anatomy scan was supposed to be my last one but I’ve had a few days of high blood pressure and no other preeclampsia symptoms so my dr ordered another to make sure babygirl was growing okay.

I've had extra scans for two reasons: my little one is uncooperative and I haven't gained weight. They haven't been able to get the pictures they want at each scan because of her position. Even my last one they didn't get the best picture of her spine. Extra scans have actually been a curse because I haven't been able to see as much of her face as others have seen of their little ones

With my ob we get a ultrasound at every appointment and then once a month they do a growth scan which is longer. I love my ob 🥰🥰
