Am I ever going to be ready?....

So lately I’ve been having major anxiety about giving birth... I’m not pregnant and I’ll soon be 20 but me and my partner have been in a realtionship for nearly 4 years and we talk about having a family one day all the time but now I’m starting to get really nervous about being pregnant and giving birth. Any suggestions on how to overcome this feeling?

What is it about pregnancy and giving birth that scares you? 
I'm kind of weird, because for me pregnancy scares me wayyy more than giving birth. Idk, like 9 months where you don't know what to expect out of your body scares me ... and it's 9 months!! Morning sickness, pain, heartburn, being out of breath, other health issues. Of course not all pregnancies are bad - but you just don't know how you'll react to pregnancy. Giving birth seems like something that is a relief ahahahha like I'd just take epidural/ pain relief... knowing that the pain will be over is reassuring. I'm 19 today and single so... 😂I try not to think about it. I think acknowledging that so many woman have gone through it and are still here and are well, realising that a future doctor can treat you for almost anything (eg, nausea with anti nausea medication, labour pain with epidural), and understanding that most woman are actually somewhat afraid, so a small amount of fear towards it is actually normal. These things will maybe calm you down

What exactly are you scared about? I have an anxiety disorder or maybe more like a panic disorder. I had a wanted but unplanned pregnancy if that makes sense. Before I had EXTREMELY fear of morning sickness like you can’t imagine how scared I was of it, I became pregnant & I was still so afraid of that, I’m 10 weeks today & everything been so smooth that I can literally forget I’m pregnant lol. The only thing I am struggling with is my anxiety, idk if it’s caused by the hormones or because since I found out about my pregnancy life got really stressful for me, one thing after another for like a whole month. But like the other person said, for labor, you really don’t know what type of delivery you’re gonna have. I know staying active helps a lot with a quick delivery, you also have the epidural incase you’re scared of the pain. I still have a long way to go, but what helps me out is, think how many people are in this world, it’s because we are capable of pulling through pregnancy, & everyone that has kids already always say, “ at the end it’s all worth it” & how things change once you’re a mother, you start seeing things completely different & idk it makes it exciting tbh :)
