Exclusively Breastfeeding actually means that baby consumes nothing but breastmilk, no other fluids or solids, not even water. This can be directly from the breast, or expressed breastmilk, and has nothing to do with the use of pacifiers. (Other than some warnings that introducing pacifiers could hurt your ability to EBF as it reduces the amount of time baby suckles and could interrupt milk production. But the simple act of using a pacifier, or bottle even, does not mean your baby isn’t EBF - as long as the bottles contain only breastmilk)

I had to do both because I was not supplying enough milk on my own. It’s not horrible to go that way my son is as healthy as can be he is five now but he was a chunky monkey. 
It’s up to you and if you need the help then supplement if you need to. Breast feeding is a lot of hard work. He also couldn’t latch because my nipples just were to small I guess I used a nipple hard because it had a longer nipple but I had to pump all of the time it hurt it was horrible I couldn’t take it after few months. 
To each their own!   
Pacifier he was attached to but at two years old I did start giving it to him only at certain times of the day then one day I finally just got rid of them and he was totally fine didn’t even care. 
And changing from a bottle to a normal cup was really easy for us also luckily. It’s not always easy.

I breastfeed and pump so she has my milk when I am not around. Working mom here. 
No formula, pacifiers allowed ( she does without by choice most of the time ) 
Even if I was a stay at home mom, I would not exclusively breastfeed. I like giving my husband the chance to bond with her by bottle feeding her some breastmilk.

Formula ONLY, I can’t breastfeed because I take narcotic pills for pretty long time. My daughter used to like pasi but she hates it now

She loves holding her bottle 😍 she gets mad if I feed her , she wants to do it herself 😂

I am doing formula and breast milk. A day after being discharged i had to be rushed to the hospital and had to stay there for a few days without my baby so we had no choice but to give him formula during that time. When i got home finally,  he was too impatient to eat directly from my breasts. So i pump what i can and give him half formula and half breast milk.

Actually shes right, exclusive is ONLY the nipple to soothe and support the baby. Using a pacifier to sooth is replacing the nipple. The definition of exclusive literally means not admitting other things. And I fully support ONLY breast. Without a pacifier, a baby can have such a better connection and ATTACHMENT with the mother.
