I’ve been on my period for 19 days and its a very heavy flow anybody else?

This happened to me like my third time ever having my period. I went to the doctor and got on birth control and it never happened again. Mine was probably just because periods are irregular at first. But you should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible just to be safe.
