Tampons at 12?!

I've recently got my period last year and I've taken note that i need to start wearing tampons earlier than other girls because im in dance and on my period i always wear spandex with my leotard but my teacher keeps yelling at me not to but its only because i need to wear underwear! I don't know what to do!! I to scared to put in a tampon! Help!!!!!

I dance too, you don’t really have an option. Tampons aren’t that uncomfortable once you learn how to properly put them in. You got this! :)

Ok you just need to relax. You could ask your mom or somebody who is willing to help you. 
This may sound wierd but for the first time I couldn’t put it in. My mother had to. 
Trust me it hurts if you pull it out fast. It also hurts if someone puts it in you for you. 
Trust me it’s not painful if you put it in yourself.😊

Are you allowed to wear spandex shorts with your leotard? My little sister was a gymnast and whenever she was on her period she would wear shorts on top of her leo. Also, have you expressed your concern with your mom? I’m sure she can come up with something to help!
