Our son will pass the height limit before the weight limit for our seat. Both have limits of 30, but at 7 months he’s 27” and 18 lbs. He’ll definitely get too tall before he gets too heavy.

Up to you. Those things go up high weight wise. We switched my son to a normal car seat forward facing at 9m he was just too tall to sit backwards anymore.
