Second trimester?

I’m a little bit confused as I’ve read multiple things and I forgot to ask my doctor last week. I hit 12 weeks exactly today! Would the second trimester start next Tuesday when I hit 13 weeks exactly or would it be the following Tuesday when I’ve completed week 13 and I hit 14 weeks exactly?

13 weeks 2 days is 2nd trimester, which is why you hear 13 weeks and 14 weeks both used. Haha! 😆

My doctor said she considers when hit 13 weeks the second trimester...but a lot of people go back and forth between 13 or 14 weeks.
