Hmm... this is so real and so relatable😪
No woman (or man, for that matter) deserves to be treated less than a priority by the partner they love.
In other words, if your man or woman tells you that the love you feel is mutual and then proposes, and leads you to believe and trust in their words, but then turns around and treats you completely opposite- is nothing short of EMOTIONAL ABUSE. 
And emotional abuse is just as damaging and despicable as any other abuse- physical, mental, verbal... I may be keeping the concept broad, but ultimately- the damage and baggage that results from abuse is despicable and grotesque. 
Lose the loser, there's millions of men who would be honored to love you and give you the respect you deserve.

If you've tried to work it out numerous times, you're putting in the effort, and he is not putting in the effort, then move on. Y'all can try couples counseling if y'all are willing to go together. Don't stay though if by toxic you mean beats you or continuously cheating.
